MCGARTY DESIGN
McGarty Design is a multi-disciplinary Interior Architecture and Design Studio headed by Gráinne McGarty. With over 20 years experience in the Interior Design Industry, Commercial Interior Architecture and Design is our speciality. This includes retail, hospitality, office, healthcare, exhibition and showroom design.
Graduating in Interior Architecture and Digital Fabric Printing from Dublin Institute of Design in 1994, Grainne developed her Interior Architecture skills further by attending the Aalto University in Helsinki.
Working with John Duffy Design Group for a period, Gráinne then joined Douglas Wallace Architects in 1997, delivering several high profile commercial projects.
Prior to establising Mc Garty Design in 2003, Grainne worked as Production Assistant for the TV show Beyond the Hall Door, and as Lighting Designer with Wink Lighting. In addition Gráinne has lectured at DIT, DID, Griffith College, and IT Sligo.
I have worked with Grainne many times and I always find her very professional, inventive and creative. She inspires me with her design ideas, which is a great pleasure. We have similar Scandinavian design principals.

SITE ANALYSIS
Meet with client and review premises and establish a client brief of requirements.
CONCEPT DESIGN
Present Mood Board with inspirational images and preliminary design proposal of the project.
DEVELOPED
Design development to agree final design.
DETAIL DESIGN
Taking the approved design prepare detail design drawings for sign off.Liase with architects,engineer and design team as required.
TENDER PACKAGE
Prepare Drawings and Specification documents to issue for tender.Review and appraise tender returns.Provide information to client quantity surveyor.Review and appraise tenders.Recommend Contractor.
CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS
Prepare Construction Drawings,specification documents and commence on site.Prepare snag list.
LIGHTING DESIGN
Lighting Design for interior and external spaces.
FURNITURE DESIGN
Bespoke Furniture Design for Reception Desks or other joinery items.
EXHIBITION DESIGN
Bespoke designs to suit product or business.
